The District Strategic Plan OBJECTIVES for 2005 – 2010 are designed to provide a guide, or action plan if you will, that will provide guidance and assessment of the district’s accomplishments over the past year and into the next four years. The “Blueprint” spotlights the five major areas of focus. These include: 1. Improve school discipline and safety 2. Provide comprehensive programs that will ensure high student achievement through rigorous curriculum, instruction, and assessment 3. Provide quality education for our children by attracting, retaining, and supporting highly qualified professionals 4. Provide adequate school financing 5. Improve parental involvement at all levels
The Strategic Plan is formatted to highlight the overall Objective first, followed by several sub objectives. Schools and departments in the District will continue to work toward selecting sub objectives to concentrate on. Several essential questions should precede each objective area. These are used to guide us in our dialogue with our staff, parents and community members. Specific targets will be determined by each school and department in response to the essential questions.
The evaluation process will be the utilization of the “pie” which incorporates a multiple measures approach to assess the District’s efforts in meeting the objectives. The key to our success will be dependent on the involvement of the entire school community in achieving our OBJECTIVES. |
