THE R*TECS
There are nine Regional Technology in Education Consortia funded by OERI of the U.S. Department of Education. Many useful tools for teaching and learning can be found on some of these sites.
A*Tec
The Appalachian Technology in Education Consortium (A*TEC) is a consortium of public and non-profit private organizations that provide research-based direct assistance and practical solutions to educators striving to integrate technology into the classroom experience.
NEIR*Tec
The Northeast and the Islands Regioinal Technology in Education Consortium (NEIR*TEC) includes Education Development Center, Inc.; Learning Innovations at WestEd ; TERC; and The Education Alliance, Brown University . The focus is on leadership.
NCR*Tec
The North Central Regional Technology in Education Consortium offers some useful tools including: Scoring Guides for Students, Amazing Picture Machine, DigiKnow (now featuring articles on the One Computer Classroom and web-based language translators), and a Lesson Planner.
HPR*Tec
Among the projects at the High Plains Regional Technology in Education Consortium are Profiler, TrackStar , RubiStar , Web Worksheet Wizards, and PBL checklists.
NETC
Early Connections, Classrooms@Work , and useful links to other resources are available at the Northwest Educational Technology Consortium.
SEIR*Tec
SEIR*TEC, the SouthEast Initiatives Regional Technology in Education Consortium, provides technical assistance, authentic professional development in the areas of curriculum and instruction, leadership for technology, policy, and planning and evaluation.
South Central R*Tec
The focus is on professional development, standards and assessment. They maintain TALON, a searchable database of K-12 resources.
West Ed R*Tec
The focus is on delivering technology to the disadvantaged.

Align to Achieve Standards Database
This site allows you to search for state curriculum standards by subject and grade level and even to compare two states' standards.
Developing Educational Standards
This site, developed by Putnam Valley Central Schools in New York , is a comprehensive site with links to national and state standards by subject and state as well as links to the US Department of Education, all state departments of education, national standards setting organizations, and standards background information.
McREL Compendium
This site is a compilation of content standards for K-12 curriculum in both searchable and browseable formats.

This site, owned by Scantron , uses a clickable U.S. map as an interface to locate standards by state and to link the standards to curriculum documents and lesson plans.
